When I arrived at Andrea’s parent’s house to photograph the girls getting ready, the music and laughter coming from upstairs echoed through the rest of the house and set the mood for the day!

Andrea’s ‘something blue’ was the personalized stitching inside her dress that read, “Exclusively for Andrea.”

Andrea looked absolutely stunning and every detail she had planned camed together just perfectly.

The bridesmaids carried bouquets of deep purple flowers which matched their eggplant-colored gowns, and Andrea carried a bouquet of white roses which was complimented by feathers and pearls.

While I was with the girls, Higs was with the guys, who were having just as much fun!

They sure do clean up well!

The girls and Andrea’s dad broke out into a rendition of “Lean on Me” just moments before they walked down the aisle.

Married!!

After group formals at the church, we headed over to The Ballantyne Country Club with the bridal party for some group shots and then Andrea & Michael’s Just Married session before the guests arrived for the cocktail hour.

I loved this bridal party! They were so much fun and completely and sincerely so happy for Andrea & Michael.

No denying Travis loves his bride!

We were just a few days past peak color on the trees, but luckily some color hung around for us.

I think these two images are my favorite of the day.

Typically, we try to shoot with natural light as much as possible, but because there was very little to be found that evening, we utilized what artificial light we could find and tried some things that were out of our comfort zone. We can’t thank Ann & Travis enough for going with the flow and being up for whatever!

Lara’s attention to detail was spectacular. You might remember these fabulous red ruffled high-heels from her bridal session.

Being that it was an outdoor early-October wedding, Lara & Todd chose bouquets of deep red, burgundy, orange and white calla lilies.

Todd’s a writer by trade and the card he wrote to his bride-to-be brought tears to my eyes. I especially loved how he signed it: “From the guy who can’t wait to be your husband.”

Lara took a few quiet minutes to herself to go over her personalized vows.

She’s SO stunning!

And just so classic!

One of the sweetest things about Lara was that, even though it was her wedding day, she was constantly tending to others making sure they were ok. She was continually checking with me to make sure I had enough time and was pleased with the photos I was getting. She was open to suggestions and more than happy to accommodate.

While I was with Lara, Higs was hanging out with Todd and the guys while they were getting ready.

The grounds of the resort were beautifully nestled between the mountains and provided an incredible backdrop anywhere you turned.

It’s go-time!

I love being able to document real, unscripted emotion, especially between people that we’ve become friends with. I had to recompose myself after catching this emotional embrace between Lara & Todd immediately following the ceremony.
