josie jean

When we were in PA a few weeks ago, we got to visit with our friend Evie and her daughter, Josie. We hadn’t seen them since Easter back in April, and wow has Josie grown! She’s pulling herself up to the coffee table and standing! And lots of drool, but still no teeth.

And, of course, our Nolan baby!

keren & robbie • • • wedding

The story of Keren & Robbie is one Higs & I are particularly fond of because it has similarities to our own. Keren & Robbie met 10 years ago as freshman in high school and quickly became good friends. The friendship was an easy one; it never took any work and it was easy to spend time together. After graduation, they went their separate ways to different colleges, but continued to keep in touch. What did we ever do before instant messenger and email? Their conversations would run into the early morning and finally, during the fall of their sophomore year of college, they began dating. To quote Keren “I was hesitant to start dating him because I knew we would never break up. I’d say I decided he was the one I wanted to marry at the same time I decided I wanted to date him!” Last October, Robbie proposed to Keren with his great-grandmonther’s ring on her family’s land where they’re planning to build a home together.

It was such an honor to document Keren & Robbie’s wedding last weekend. The entire day overflowed with love, laughter and tradition! Enjoy!

Isn’t she gorgeous?

She had such beautiful, simplistic details.

Keren was overcome with emotion when she saw friends arrive who had driven from out of state.

Robbie’s brother, Andy, was his best man, and his other brother, Michael, served as the Koumbaro for the traditional Greek Orthodox ceremony.

Keren’s brother, Josh, walked her down the aisle.

Keren & Robbie gave us a good 45 minutes after the ceremony for a “Just Married” session — Higs & I were in heaven!!! These next few are some of my favorites from the day.

At the reception, there was a lot of traditional Greek dancing…

…as well as some not-so-traditional-Greek dancing.

Congratulations, Keren & Robbie! Enjoy your honeymoon in Greece!
