Jessica & Justin’s wedding was our last of the year and I couldn’t imagine going out on a higher note. These two were absolutely phenominal to work with from the beginning stages of planning until we hugged them goodbye at the end of the reception. They were both so sweet and kind to us, but were also so obviously and uncontrollably in love. Their Just Married session is not only one of my favorites of the year, but is one of my favorites we’ve ever shot.

Their reception was elegantly decorated in whites, blacks and bright greens.

As a treat for their guests, Jessica & Justin had a table of candy and sweets!

Jessica & Justin were married at The Proximity Hotel on an absolutely gorgeous Fall day. Everything about the day was relaxed, easy-going and fun, which embodies the spirit of Jessica & Justin to a T.

So beautiful!

Justin’s cufflinks were engraved with his initials.

Jessica’s nephews were well-behaved and enjoyed participating in the wedding festivities.

Jessica & Justin opted to do a First Look prior to the ceremony. The Fall colors provided an amazing backdrop for such a sweet moment.

Everyone waited patiently for the ceremony to start.

style inspired by ‘sex & the city’

We’ve worked with the girls of Bella Upstyles on a number of occasions, from weddings to style shoots. Earlier this year we shot a ‘vintage meets modern’ session, and about a year ago we did a showcase of a variety of looks they put together. Recently, we collaborated on a “Sex & the City” style inspired shoot featuring four completely different hair & makeup looks.

She was our ‘Samantha.’ Love, love, love this look.

Our ‘Charlotte’ is the adorable Heather Fink, who has her own photography business in Charlotte, NC.

Our ‘Carrie’ look was inspired from the bridal style from the Sex & the City movie. So gorgeous!

The one on the left is one of my favorites from the session. So classic and movie-star-like.

Our ‘Miranda’ had beautiful auburn curls sweeping over her shoulder.

Special thanks again to Dawn’s Bridal in Lexington who provided the wedding gown.

After Liz & Robbie were married, we spent some time wandering the grounds of Graylyn for their Just Married session before we headed into their reception. They’re so adorable together!

Liz & Robbie were married at Graylyn on an absolutely gorgeous early Fall afternoon. The weather was clear and happiness was everywhere to be found.

So gorgeous.

Other than the few tears Robbie’s gift brough her, Liz was all-smiles, all-day.

Higs hung out with Robbie and the guys pre-ceremony.

Liz’s gift to Robbie was a watch with a note that said, “I can’t wait to spend every minute of my life with you.”

Just moments before walking down the aisle, Liz and her parents were nothing but happy.
