The Proximity Hotel is an excellent location for boudoir photography. Not only do they provide a bridal room rental package, but the clean and modern decor makes a fabulous backdrop for beautiful, simplistic photographs. I photographed an elegant boudoir session there last weekend and wanted to share just a few of the classy details. Enjoy!

I recently did a boudoir photography session at The Proximity Hotel in Greensboro and am in love with the way these images turned out. Their rooms have so much natural light and offer such a variety of backdrops for the images, that when you add in a beautiful subject to photograph… oh it’s like a photographer’s heaven!
Sheets in boudoir photography makes the images so soft and romantic.

But I also love these photographs with the boy shorts and bustier against the modern elements of the room.

Happy 2010! Below is a sneak peek at a recent Greensboro Boudoir photography session shot at the Greensboro-High Point Marriott Airport. I love these images and had so much fun shooting them! For the sake of our client’s privacy, we’re only posting a select few, and all images have been posted with the approval of the client.

Recently I had the opportunity to participate in the Raleigh chapter of Photog Shootout, an incredible workshop that helps photographers learn from and connect with one another. We spent the entire day together shooting in various places of The Royal, which is also home to Cara and Jonathan’s f8 Photo Studios, who were kind enough to host the event. Our first session was a boudoir, led by Stacy at Swank Photo Studio.
Because I’m used to being the prime shooter when Higs & I work (he typically shoots around me), I think one of the biggest challenges for me was to work around the other 15+ photographers that were trying to get their own shots at the same time. It was a great challenge and I’m please with what I was able to get. And our model, Gina, did an excellent job! I’d kill for legs like that.

Parts two & three coming soon!
