Before we offer any new products to our clients, we play the part of the test-subject and order the product for ourselves to make sure it’s something we would be proud to display or have in our home. We’ve been dying to try out these new canvas images wraps so we can offer them to our clients and wow, were we impressed when the ones we ordered for our home arrived!

These gallery image wraps are contemporary canvas prints wrapped on a 1.5-inch wooden frame. The captured image wraps around the side of the frame.

I love the texture the canvas gives the image.

This is a 24×36 we ordered of a favorite photograph I captured late last summer to go in our living room. The quality and detail remained incredible especially considering how large it had been blown up.

The canvas is secured tightly on the back of the wooden frame.

Canvas gallery wraps come assembled with hardware and are ready to be displayed the minute they arrive. For whatever reason, I was thinking they were going to be heavy, but they’re incredibly light and easy to maneuver.

This is a 16×24 of an image of Nolan at the beach we had made to match our newly-painted & decorated bedroom.

Each canvas has a protective coating of finishing spray.

A photography business is an every-changing thing. When we started sadie higs photography, we offered our services and products a la carte. But when we got quite a few inquiries for packages, we re-evaluated and started offering wedding photography packages, which, for the time being, has seemed to work out just fine. Some of our packages include an album and some don’t, but they can be purchased by anyone.

Last Fall we posted about the genuine leather wedding album. Since then, we made a sample album with the image cover wrap option, which we like even more, because, well, it shows off the image!

The page quality is really amazing; they’re thick and coated to avoid bending or tearing.

As opposed to the sheen fabric that coated the inside covers the genuine leather album, we chose for this image-wrap album to have a classic and simplistic flat material line the inside covers.

And, of course, our favorite feature: the gutterless spreads, which allow for images to span from one side of the album to the other without losing any of the image in the spine of the book.

Below are a few other layouts that were included in this sample album. For some of them, I wouldn’t normally put that many images on the page, but wanted to keep certain events together in this particular instance.

When we started sadie.higs photography, one of the things we chose to do was offer our services and products a la carte so our gorgeous couples and families can basically create their own pacakge and only pay for the things they really want, not the things we think they’d want in a package.

Easy and simplistic.

While we’ve recently started providing our couples and families with the option of purchasing prints from their own personalized password-protected online gallery (that’s a mouthful!), we’ve also started working with a new vendor to produce the custom-designed albums we offer. Albums are available in multiple shapes (including square, vertical, and horizontal formats), as well as many different sizes, ranging from 4×5 to 14×11.

While there are a variety of color options available, below is an example of a black handcrafted genuine leather cover. And, as a non-leather alternative, we also offer a photographic cover option, in which the front and back covers would be a full-bleed image printed on photographic paper with a protective laminate coating. (As a back-burner project, we’re in the process of designing a sample album with the photographic cover option and will post images of it when we’re finished.)

Everything about them is so sleek and clean.

Each page is a thick and coated to avoid bending or tearing (which is a brilliant feature — in 3o years, you don’t want your album pages all crinkled and bent!).

And my favorite feature: they are completely gutter-less, so each spread lays completely flat…

…allowing for pratically seamless full-spread images without the distortion of a binding gutter!

There are countless way we can design the spreads, offering, again, a variety of options.

For the handcrafted genuine leather albums, the inside covers are coated with a beautiful, sheen fabric.

While many people choose to display their albums (which is why I, personally, prefer the photographic cover), they can be stored in the tightly-fitting box they arrive in…

…which also includes a protective pillowcase slipcover.
